Liverpool striker Fernando Torres believes English football’s big-four are now Europe’s best as well as he assessed the strengths of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal alongside the Reds, who he thinks have the wherewithal to clinch the Premiership and Champions League glory.
The Reds have made a strong start to the current campaign, and are tipped by many to break their 18-year wait for the English league title. United have steadily moved up in their collection of titles and are just one short of matching the Reds record haul of 18 top division silverwares. Chelsea and Arsenal have also tasted league glory in recent times.
“I believe we can win the Premier League or the Champions League,” the 24-year-old Spain international told the LFC Magazine.
“Arsenal produce great football, Liverpool and Chelsea are very difficult teams to play against and Man United played fantastically well last year.
“All the teams have different styles but are equally effective.
“I think the four biggest teams in England are now the best in Europe.
“We have a good chance of doing well but it won’t be easy to finish above any of the other three sides.”
