El Nino could be in line for a massive payday as a reward for his willingness to remain on Merseyside...
Fernando Torres of Liverpool is already under contract until 2013, but indications are that he is already on the verge of signing an extension at the Premier League giants.
El Nino currently earns in the area of £70,000 a week at Anfield, but according to the News of the World he is set to boost this by almost 20 per cent to £90,000 if he pens a new deal.
The 24-year-old, who signed for Liverpool in 2007, has recently spoken out claiming that his future lies on Merseyside even if current manager Rafa Benitez vacates the hotseat.
Should Torres sign this rumoured new contract, his deal would be extended until 2014, along with his pay packet increase.
Fernando is currently looking to overcome injury in time to face Real Madrid at Anfield in the Champions League on Tuesday, the Reds defending a 1-0 lead from the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
