RAFA WON'T RISK TORRES

Torres - will only play if he's 100%.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez says he will not gamble on striker Fernando Torres' fitness ahead of their trip to Chelsea.

The Reds travel to Stamford Bridge in good form, but face injury problems up front after Robbie Keane limped out of their Champions League game against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Torres is still struggling with a hamstring problem picked up playing for Spain against Belgium last week, while Keane, Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso all picked up knocks in Madrid.

When asked about Torres, Benitez told the Liverpool Echo: "If he is not 100% we will not risk him.

"We will check on him but it will be difficult for Fernando to be ready.

"But even if he is unable to play we still have confidence in the other players and we believe in them.

"We have played a lot of good games without the big names and so it is normal that we have confidence in the squad."

Benitez was more optimistic about his other three injury concerns, although he will face a late decision on whether to include Keane, who has a groin injury.

"I don't think they are serious," added Benitez.

"We will have to wait and see. It was a little bit of a muscle problem for Robbie. Gerrard is okay. He was really tired and Alonso has a knock on his knee, but we are hoping that they will be okay."
